I finally got a chance to review the Sensational Alpha Woman wig. I got it in the color Flamboyage Blonde, and I must say, this color The color s EVERYTHING! If you like going lighter in the summer like I do, you might want to check this one out.
After months of wanting to try my hand at a custom colored unit, I finally bit the bullet and created this gorgeous purple ombre wig! If you follow my crochet braid tutorials, you know I love experimenting with color so it should be no surprise that I transferred all that creativity to custom coloring bundles.
This beauty here is my first human hair wig, and she’s simply gorgeous! This natural hairline EVERYTHING! These hair companies are doing their thing with these wigs and everybody’s rocking them, from the college girls to the grown and sexy!
You guys know crochet braids are my holy grail protective style. But this Caracas Wig (InstantWeave) by Sensationnel is giving crochet braids a run for ALL their coins. I picked up this unit in the color DXRRB1 at my beauty supply store just browsing the wig section. I love big hair so I was instantly drawn to the full, thick natural looking curls of this unit. The pop of color in the back added that extra level of fierceness that simply sealed the deal for me!
Generally, I’m not a wig wearer. Teaching fitness classes several times a week make wigs an impractical protective style for my active lifestyle. Full wigs are too hot to teach classes in and with my shaved sides, I’m always worried about them falling off in the middle of a downdog. How embarrassing would that be?! But, I was pleasantly surprised at how light and airy this Caracas Wig is. The dome cap is light and airy and fits so perfectly, it practically melds into my head . It feels so natural on my head, it literally feels like I’m not It wearing a wig at all.

Slay Squad, seriously, let’s talk about menopause. What triggers your hot flashes?—and what helps you manage them when one hits? 🔥🥵
Sugar triggers mine, so I avoid it as much as possible. Every woman’s triggers can be different, but paying attention to what I eat/drink before a hot flash helped me recognize the pattern.
Here are a few practical things that help:
🔥 Track your triggers. Sugar is mine, but common triggers can also include caffeine, alcohol, spicy foods, hot drinks and stress.
🔥 Dress in lightweight layers. You can remove one quickly when your internal thermostat starts showing out! 🤭
🔥 Keep a cooling kit nearby. My turbo fan stays charged and ready! A cold drink and cooling towel can also bring some relief.
🔥 Keep the bedroom cool. A fan, breathable sleepwear and cooling sheets can make night sweats easier to manage.
🔥 Slow down and breathe. Stress can make a hot flash feel more intense, so a few slow, deep breaths may help your body settle.
🔥 Talk with your doctor. If hot flashes are disrupting your sleep or daily life, ask about treatment options. We don’t have to suffer in silence!
What’s your best strategy for managing hot flashes? Let’s help each other in the comments because these personal summers are NO joke! (and my A/C bill is getting ridiculous! ) 😫🔥
