PiYo Flow – Improving Strength & Flexibility

I

‘ve been teaching PiYo for several years and have seen dramatic improvements in my flexibility.  The layers build from a slow pace to a faster pace for added cardio benefits, so you get strength training, cardio and flexibility training all in one workout without the impact on your joints.

This is a short clip I posted on Instagram of me doing the Flow, one of my favorite sections. I love how smoothly it flows (no pun intended 🙂

My flexibility has increased 10 fold just from doing PiYo once a week!MaShelle Dean, Group Fitness Instructor

Don’t Like Yoga? You’ll Love PiYo!

I never could get into Yoga.  I’m a type A personality all the way and could never shut off my mind to enjoy the benefits of the long, meditative poses. Then I was introduced to PiYo and fell in love! We affectionately refer to it as “yoga for Rebels”.  🙂  One of my girlfriends describes it as poetry in motion. I can’t think of a more fitting description.  You’ll be inspired to move while singing along to popular Top 40 songs.

Improving Strength & Flexibility

PiYo is a strength & flexibility workout using only your bodyweight to burn fat and sculpt lean muscles and abs. It combines traditional strength-building exercises (like pushups, squats, lunges and core work) to build muscular strength with traditional yoga poses (like the down dog, single leg down dog, 3 point balance and half moon) to lengthen your muscles and improve flexibility. My flexibility has increased 10 fold just from doing PiYo once a week.
