How to Maintain Crochet Braids

I remember as a little girl sitting on the living room floor watching Bugs Bunny while my big sister braided my hair.  I was always excited to get my hair braided because she’d add extensions so I could wear my short 4C hair in ponytails!  I’ve been wearing protective styles off and on for years, from tree braids, to half wigs to my current favorite protective style, crochet braids. 

What is Protective Styling?

Protective styling is a way of protecting your natural hair from the rigors of daily styling by tucking it away in a braided style and installing hair extensions like weaves, crochet braids and even wearing wigs.  I’ve been wearing crochet braids for over two years and my natural hair is the longest and healthiest it’s ever been.

This fun, high energy kick boxing routine will help you get lean, burn calories and reduce fat and is my go to weapon for staying #fitandfabulous!

Workout Schedule

For weight loss and increased cardiovascular endurance, I recommend at least 30 minutes of cardio, 3 days per week. You can do Turbo Kick 3 days a week or mix and match your favorite cardio routines.

Treebraids are back! These Zury Queendom Collection Queen Curly crochet braids are so creative. I was so excited to see treebraids make a comeback in a crochet style.

Treebraids is a method of adding extensions to cornrows and pulling the ends through the cornrow as you braid. I used to wear my hair in treebraids years ago, long before I started my YouTube #fitandfabulous channel, but I never mastered doing the technique myself.

These Queen Curly treebraid style crochet braids by the Zury Queendom Collection make it easy to achieve the treebraid look without all the effort.
