Another great article from Eat This Not That. A surprising and not so surprising review on the 24 Best and Worst Cereals to eat. Hard to believe that in this era of health and fitness, manufacturers still make breakfast cereals devoid of all nutritional value and try to get you to feed them to your children no less! Would it dig into profits that much to add a little fiber and whole grain with the sugar and sucrose?????? Geesh! I have to admit though, I love the Quaker granola cereal (which made the “worst” list!). Since changing to a clean diet, I rarely eat it, but boy is it good! 😉
NUTRITION TIP: I always keep a whole-grain, high fiber/low sugar breakfast cereal on hand for a quick breakfast or snack. Perfect for those days when I get home from work and am starving. I know getting to the “starving” point breaks weight loss cardinal rule #1. But no matter how many snacks I have after lunch, by 5pm my body needs a MEAL!
